Digital Playhouse recently met with Wide Bay and Central Qld NBN Leads, Deborah Mead and Scott Rowe, to bring to their attention the worsening internet speeds and dropouts many businesses have experienced with our town's growth since 2020. This continues to negatively impact our residents that rely on high speed internet to scale their business growth, earn an income and access education.Â
The outcome of our meeting was this community consultation booked. We invite local business owners, community organisations and residents to provide feedback on their NBN experiences, and come discuss how we can create a level playing field for our town with improved infrastructure and Business Grade Fibre internet in our growth zones.Â
The outcome of this community consultation will be a clear mapping of our growth zones and a body of evidence to support the next conversations with local government to get the ball rolling.Â
