My Web 3.0 Accounting Practice - with Accziom

We won’t become blockchain-based/Web 3.0 practitioners overnight. Initially, we'll combine Web 2.0 & Web 3.0 components to perform familiar functions and processes in our daily practice. Learn how blockchain can bring inherent value to accounting operations with crypto micropayments, NFTs and more.

Interactive Video MeetUp

What to expect

Instead of investing in meme coins, finance professionals are looking for the real tech in blockchain. This is a monthly meetup for accounting firm owners and managers to learn what skills are necessary to stay on top of their field.

Andrew Noble, accounting technologist, provides a demonstration of how blockchain and Web 3.0 is applied to a professional service business.

We learn about:

  • Wallet as a Service versus using your own digital wallet (e.g. Metamask) and private keys
  • Generating provable business records with Baseline Protocol hashes
  • Value of a full audit trail from contract to payment
  • Using Smart Contracts - how they can be employed in business processes along with Crypto Wallets
  • Earning Crypto Micropayments for securing access to small pieces of information
  • and for staking information to NFTs

As early adopters of cloud accounting, Digital Accountants are curious to participate as early adopters in Web 3.0 and benefit the most from the transformation of the accountancy profession.

This month - We look at Accziom - Collaborative online marketplaces and monetising our business information

We won’t become blockchain-based / Web 3.0 practices overnight. Initially, we will combine Web 2.0 & Web 3.0 components to perform familiar functions and processes in accounting and bookkeeping practice. See how blockchain brings inherent value to our operations, reduces transactional overheads, and lets us monetise our business infomation and IP for ourselves.

Andrew will provide a demonstration of cryptocurrencies used for practical purposes on the Accziom Platform:

  • Paying for services
  • Accessing information behind a paywall
  • Staking business information with a NFT

We will learn how digital wallets are used:

  • Understand the difference between Decentralised Wallets and
  • Wallets As A Service (WaaS)
  • See both in action.

And we will discover how to engage with the Accziom business referral network... it looks a lot more efficient than email referrals!    Hope to see you there!

Next month - Participating in the token economy

We are experimenting with tools to learn about the token economy, which is is like any economy. It's all about participating and finding ways to collaborate and get others to help you and share the reward. Blockchain-based token projects don't count for anything unless there's velocity in the token economy. Tokens are no good just sitting around - they actually have to be used. So, if you want to run up a node and earn some rewards with us, let's grow our community of digital accountancy leaders and get started!
