Digital Playhouse is a user-centric digital technology and blockchain learning hub. We enable lifelong-learners in our local and professional communities to explore and implement digital assets, apps and emerging /converging technologies for research, creative and entrepreneurial purposes.
Our centre provides a collaborative learning space for Agnes Water 1770 Digital Businesses, Coding for Kids, Agnes Water based members of Start-Up Gladstone and visiting regional innovation hub members.

Digital Playhouse Foundation is a purpose built charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission - a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) recognised for 'Advancing social or public welfare' in regional communities. As Australia progresses with its Digital Economy Strategy 2030, we are addressing the problem of a lack of Digital Skills and Financial Literacy in non-urban populations where there is a high level of at-risk children, young people, families and self-employed.
Financial literacy and inclusion go hand in hand. Our purpose is provide benevolent relief to socially and/or financially disadvantaged individuals to enable them to access emerging technologies and to reskill with digital technologies that create inclusive and sustainable economic growth and achievement of full and productive employment and decent work for all. Our focus is on regional and rural communities where our most disadvantaged Australians are at risk of being left behind.
Our Board is researching the application of Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) to manage its charitable value chain, records of transactions and governance. Decentralised, open public blockchains are immutable and 100% transparent for all to see. By harnessing the Bitcoin blockchain for a Decentralised Autonomous Organisation (DAO) to power the Foundation's investment fund, investment rewards and DOA governance will resource long term objectives without dependence on external grants.
